Pacing
Albeit a bit dirty, CSXT 8236 hustles towards Alden, still looking great in YN3. I have no idea how anyone could say this scheme only looks decent fresh out of the shop, It looks good all the time!

Nick ODell General That's the thing; it looks better on EMD's than it does GE's. I don't particularly like GE's in YN3. For two reasons. 1.) It doesn't weather well on widecab GE's (coal units) and gets very dirty. 2.) Huntington cannot paint a GE locomotive at all. 1 in 20 GE's that go into Huntington for paint will come out looking nice. Huntington just can't paint widecabs.... the logos are all crooked and off center. Lightning bolts off center, the wrong color..... just very tacky paint quality. On the contrary, I haven't seen a badd unit come out of Waycross all year. Case and point: CSXT 617 is Waycross. CSXT 623 is Huntington. You be the judge. Oh, while you're at it... look at CSXT 114 (off center nose logo), or perhaps CSXT 76 (off center lightning bolts) - I like YN3, but I hate that CSX paints EVERYTHING and I also don't like the look of YN3 on GE's. 6/1/2010 3:36:55 PM
Atlanta Rails General Eh, try living out here and you will find out why people say that. Nick is right, the EMD's look much better in YN3. When the GEVO's and AC44's get dirty they look real trashy. 6/1/2010 6:17:51 PM
