Ah yes, the moldy oldies. CP 5607 waits with the 5951,6012,SOO 4447, and SOO 2064 near Apache Plaza. The New Brighton/Saint Anthony landmark was being torn down at the time, and although you can barely make out the complex right next to the plow, this scene will never be created again. The rare move was the fact that this train detoured up the*Withrow Sub, which only sees the WC daily manifests and a CP Transfer One that runs daily. Photo scanned. |

CP 298 slows to a stop at MN City after flying out of Red Wing after taking on water. I chased this guy unsuccessfully all the way, and this was the only time I finally got ahead of him. He would sit here for another two hours in which case I decided to just go home. Still awesome to see such a low-numbered SD40-2 in 2010, with a nice supporting cast to boot. |
