Album Info:Canadian Pacific movements throughout the metro and beyond. Action can be seen from the Paynesville Sub and the River Sub. CP, SOO, ICE, DME, and CEFX(CITX) locomotives make up most of the consists. Due to Saint Paul yard rehabbing, ICE trains 170 and 171 have traveled to Glenwood.

Title:  CP 496-29 Woes
Description:  A few days late, a dollar short, an SD60 short, and now a new SD60, CP 496 is ready to move once again after a terrible first few hours in. Or are they? Now they can't seem to arm the EOT, so they inform the dispatcher that they are now only able to go 38MPH under FRA rules. The dispatcher then informs the crew to just pull ahead and shove into the siding, and a cab will be on the way. What a night...

A Full House
Title:  A Full House
Description:  CP 372 sits on the main with CSX power (very rare for the Paynesville Sub) as 490 pull up on the pass with a nice set of Dual Flag SD40-2's for power. Another train is shown with no crew on one of the yard tracks.

Description:  I've never gotten this shot with CSX power in almost five years of coming down to Northtown. Nothing special, but just interesting and really proof of how rare CSX power is on the Paynesville Sub. The WC transfer is shown in the background with a pair of EMD's which will have to wait for 372 to clear before proceeding to Humboldt.

Description:  Since the re-crew took place later than anticipated at Humboldt, all of my morning shots had dissapeared forcing me to go to the classic spot where the tracks head pretty much due-south for a short time coming out of the tunnel. And after a short wait the lovely C40-8 pokes out from under the shadows as it nears Pigs Eye.

A Gem on 2-298
Title:  A Gem on 2-298
Description:  CP 298 slows to a stop at MN City after flying out of Red Wing after taking on water. I chased this guy unsuccessfully all the way, and this was the only time I finally got ahead of him. He would sit here for another two hours in which case I decided to just go home. Still awesome to see such a low-numbered SD40-2 in 2010, with a nice supporting cast to boot.
